Southern Asia-Pacific readies for Mid-Year Meetings
The Adventist church in the Southern Asia-Pacific region prepares for its annual midyear meetings at the Life Hope Impact Center, Cavite, Philippines. Delegates from the Southern Asia-Pacific Division will officially commence their session through a worship service beginning May 3. It will be facilitated through a hybrid setup to accommodate delegates from other countries who still have travel restrictions due to the worldwide pandemic.
The two-day mid-year meeting will begin through devotional messages delivered by Elder Max Langi, Treasurer of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division, on Tuesday, May 3, and Pastor Rudy Baloyo, Executive Secretary of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division Wednesday the following day.
In his message, Elder Langi shared the value of hope and how we hold on to the blessed hope we can only find in Jesus. He pointed out three important things that every Christian should remember.
“The way we perceive hope explains how most people think, how most people feel, and how one behaves himself,” Elder Langi said. “Our relationship in Christ, our faith in Him encourages us to hold steadfastly to the hope God has promised us,” Langi added.
Committee meetings will also commence during the two-day gathering. I Will Go, leaders will further discuss plans and initiatives in line with the church’s worldwide industry.
