Bible Prophecy Seminar in Central Philippines Marks a Turning Point for 240 Individuals

Anchored in the profound blessings and unwavering guidance of God, the 'Earth's Final Conflict' mega evangelistic campaign, organized in collaboration with the Adventist-Laymen's Services and Industries (ASi) in Central Philippines (CPUC) and the Adventist Church in Central Visayas (CVC), culminated with the baptism of 240 individuals on June 2023, held at the Adventist Academy-Cebu in Talisay City, Cebu, Philippines.

The seminar explored the profound concept of Earth's Final Conflict through a series of enlightening sessions centered on the ultimate battle between good and evil, drawing an audience of approximately 4000 attendees. Online viewers also joined actively during Sabbath worship. During the opening and nightly programs, more than 3000 individuals attended regularly.

During an interview with Pastor Gaudencio C. Buque, Jr., health director of the Adventist Church in Central Philippines (CPUC), he emphasized the practicality and scientific basis of the health instructions presented by Dr. Alma M. Esparagoza, a US-based instructor who delivered a series of informative health lectures.
Pastor Buque also emphasized the significance of these presentations in today's world and highlighted the unique approach of gospel preaching through Pastor Segundino Asoy, Sabbath School & Personal Ministries director and ASi coordinator of the Southern Asia-Pacific region (SSD), which had been simplified for accessibility, making it suitable and understandable even for children.

Pastor Segundino Asoy extended gratitude to the CPUC and CVC leaders for their great leadership. He expressed gratitude to the church members by warmly accepting 240 newly baptized members of the church.

"To the newly baptized, I encourage you to remain faithful to the Lord by consistently reading His Word and maintaining a prayerful life. Seek strength from God to nurture your faith and share the gospel with others. Remember the message of the Three Angels' Messages: Fear God, give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; worship Him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and the springs of water. The ultimate issue in these last days revolves around worship, and we must worship our Creator, who is deserving of all honor and reverence. He is the God who has created everything, including you and me," Pastor Asoy stated.
He then concluded his statement by reaffirming the commitment of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division and the General Conference to the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in making disciples and preparing people for Christ's soon return.

Moreover, Pastor Charles Nogra, president of the Adventist Church in Central Visayas, expressed gratitude for the remarkable events of the 'Earth's Final Conflict' series. He extended his appreciation to their counterparts in SSD, CPUC, and the churches and district pastors in CVC for their support.

"As the Seventh-day Adventist Church commemorates its 160th year and the 110th anniversary of Adventist presence in Central Visayas, let us rally together to focus on city evangelism, embracing the prophetic vision of a great movement in the cities, as cited by Ellen G. White," Pastor Nogra said.

Furthermore, Mr. Jonathan Lamorin, Southern Asia-Pacific region (SSD) ASi vice president for special projects, conveyed his joy and recognized the tremendous response from attendees representing various backgrounds. He attributed the profound impact experienced by the audience to the influence of the Holy Spirit, underscoring the inspiring success of the seminar throughout its duration, culminating in a memorable culmination.

"Let us join together in prayer for the newly baptized individuals, that they may be strengthened in their spiritual journey. As we await the glorious return of Jesus, may we strive to hear His words, 'Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Enter now into the joy of your Lord.' Amen," Mr. Lamorin concluded.

The weeklong evangelistic campaign culminated in Sabbath afternoon's program, which showcased compelling lectures and heartfelt testimonies, highlighting the abundant blessings and divine guidance bestowed by God.
