The Adventist Church in West Indonesia (WIUM), in cooperation with Adventist Laymen's Services & Industries (ASI) and Adventist World Radio (AWR), spearheaded an island-wide initiative in Bali, Indonesia. Bali, renowned for its pristine beaches and as a major tourist destination, is also a predominantly Hindu island.

A total of 47 individuals were baptized at the close of the revival meeting, creating a significant impact on the spiritual growth of both the nightly guests and the Adventist church members in the region.

From July 8 to 13, Adventist churches in Bali worked collaboratively to hold eight simultaneous  meetings to share the message of hope and salvation to this flourishing territory. The Revival Meeting, also known as Kebaktian Kebangunan Rohani (KKR), was led by speakers coming from various Adventist organizations and institutions with the passion to share God’s message within the 10/40 window.

“Witnessing individuals who purposed to be here with us and support us in this endeavor is inspiring,” said Pastor Sugih Sitorus, president of WIUM. “This is a strong indication of every member of the church involving themselves to be part of the mission work of sharing the message of truth and love in challenging places,” Sitorus added.

The revival meeting concluded on Friday night with a special session at the Sunset 100 Hotel plenary hall, where over 300 attendees, including guests, gathered. The Sabbath service, held at the same venue, attracted more than 700 members and guests as Pastor Arnel Gabin, Vice President of NDR-IEL in the Southern Asia-Pacific region (SSD), delivered a timely message focused on the imminent return of Jesus and the salvation found in Him.

"Everyone is in dire need of hope. As He draws near to fulfilling His promise, I pray that everyone who has heard the message from the Holy Scriptures will find a place in their hearts to accept Jesus and His love," Gabin said.

Adventists in Bali witnessed an encouraging response from attendees and church members. This paves the way for more evangelistic opportunities in the region in the future.
