A praying wife is a powerful force in her husband’s life. Standing in the gap for your husband is one of the most important things you will ever do in your marriage and ministry. This resource material is designed to keep your eyes focused on the truth, help you pray, invite you to reflect, and encourage you to invest intentionally in your marriage.

For every prayer in this resource material, you will find four helpful sections:

Truth — This passage from Scripture will guide your prayer for the day. Knowing God’s truth directs our lives and shapes our thinking.

Talk to God — This is the prayer you will pray for your husband. Feel free to add to it or rephrase any wording that does not fit your specific situation. It is best to make it personal. Prayer is simply talking to God, so let the words on the page prompt you to share your heart with Him.

Think — This section helps direct your thoughts in a healthy way so your marriage can thrive. It also provides reflection questions to help you apply God’s truth to your own life.

Take Action — These practical steps help you intentionally invest in your marriage and grow in your relationship. In marriage, if you are not rowing, you are drifting. These actions are designed to deepen your connection with one another.

Pray, don’t Say.  This is a reminder to first talk to God about anything you want to discuss with your husband, especially when you are frustrated. Prayer is the first thing that needs to happen, and sometimes no conversation with your husband may be necessary at all. Prayer gives you direction and clarity for a conversation that may need to happen later. May these prayers help you find that balance as well.

As you pray and reflect, may you see the fruit of faithful prayer in your husband, in yourself, in your marriage, and in your ministry.
