An Invitation To Grow

Day 28 | PRAYING FOR YOUR PASTOR HUSBAND

Day 29: A Prayer For Perspective

TRUTH

As silver in a crucible and gold in a pan, so our lives are refined by God.
Proverbs 17:3 MSG

TALK TO GOD
Lord, it can be difficult living with another person who is being refined. It is often messy. I am sure that is what it is like for my husband when You are refining me. Give me patience and grace when I am affected by what You are doing in my husband’s life. Silver and gold are refined when they are heated and the impurities rise to the surface to be removed. In the same way, when things heat up in my husband’s life, You may be inviting him into growth. I pray that my husband will be open to Your refining work. Help him see You as a good Father who wants only what is best for His child. May he have a growth mindset that is open to receiving feedback from You and from others. In Jesus’ name, amen.

THINK
Do you have a growth mindset? Are you open to feedback from your husband and from God’s Word?

TAKE ACTION
The next time your husband seems to have woken up on the wrong side of the bed, pray for him instead of immediately saying something. If you need to speak, trust that Jesus will guide you in what to say. And if you simply need to pray, Jesus will make that clear as well.
