"The call for Dr. Obed Jimenez is being processed by the various Church entities in the usual way."

The Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies (AIIAS) Board of Trustees voted to recommend Dr. Obed Jiménez to serve as the eighth president of the institution.

On June 5, 2018, Jiménez was recommended through the Presidential Search committee as the new AIIAS president succeeding Dr. Stephen Guptil who is retiring after thirteen years of service as president of the institution.
