Bio

He taught multigrade classes in our primary schools, served as Academy Principal, Conference Education Superintendent, Dean of the School of Education, and Union Director of Education at Central Philippines.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology at the Adventist University of the Philippines, then Philippine Union College, in 1986. - Completed his Master’s degree in Education in 1992… - Finished his Doctor of Education degree, with an emphasis in Educational Management, at Southwestern University in 1994.

In June of 2008, he accepted the call to be the Associate Director of Education of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division. - In July of 2010, at the General Conference Session in Atlanta, Georgia, he was appointed as Director of Education of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division, overseeing the academic programs of more than 800 elementary schools, 110 secondary schools, and 17 colleges and universities of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in 14 countries, including Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Bangladesh, Myanmar (Burma), Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, and Pakistan.

His wife, Verlyn also served as an elementary school teacher in our church schools and is currently the librarian of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division. - They have two grown-up children, both registered nurses: A daughter named “Apple” who is a minister’s wife… A son named “Jumbo” is working at Adventist Medical Center – Manila. - And two granddaughters named Mirth and Milicenth.
